ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Entry is open to all national and international quilters and fiber artists. Artwork must be created between 2020 and 2026. Artwork that has previously been exhibited at the QFA Museum or past International Quilt & Fiber Arts Festivals is not eligible.
2. Jurying: All entries must go through the jury process to be accepted into the exhibition. Due to the smaller exhibition venue, it may be necessary to limit the number of entries accepted by each artist. All decisions by the jurors and judges are final.
3. Judging: Entrants may choose to have their entry judged or non-judged if accepted. Judged entries will receive written judge’s comments with returned artwork.
4. Festival submissions are made online at https://iqfaf-2026.artcall.org. Follow instructions on the ArtCall website to complete your entry.
5. All entries must be an original design created by the submitting artist. Entries created from a commercially designed pattern or kit will not be accepted. This includes block-of-the-month quilts, felting kits, needlework canvases, knitting patterns, etc. The only exception would be an entry created using a traditional or classic quilt block design in the public domain.
6. Quilts or fiber art that is created by two or more artists (e.g. a long-arm quilter), are considered a collaboration. Such submissions must include the names of all artists involved, so they can be credited.
7. Maximum size accepted in any category is 90” wide x 84” high.
8. Select the category and sub-category for your entry. If desired, you may submit without a category and the IQFAF jurors will determine the appropriate category. IQFAF reserves the right to change an entry category during the jury and judging process. The category list can be found on the call for entry.
9. Entries in quilt categories must consist of three (3) distinct layers - top, middle layer, and backing, stitched or tied together. Quilts may be hand or machine stitched. No pre-quilted fabrics or commercially pre-printed whole cloth quilt tops may be used.
10. Artists may choose to offer their entry for sale while on exhibition. IQFAF will process the transaction and retain a 25% commission based on the price indicated by the artist pre-tax. Buyer is responsible for all sales tax incurred. Artwork sold will remain on display until the end of the Festival and Best-of-Festival exhibitions.
11. Insurance: It is recommended that accepted entries are insured through the owner’s insurance company. IQFAF will insure artwork from the time we receive it, to the time it’s picked up/shipped from our office. An entry’s listed insurance value must be verifiable through an appraisal or history of artwork sales.
12. Entrants are responsible for ensuring their entries comply with all applicable copyright laws. Entries that do not meet published guidelines or deadlines may be disqualified. IQFAF, at its sole discretion, may disqualify any entry for any reason and no fees will be refunded.
13. Images: Each individual submission requires a minimum of two images; 3D/Sculptural and Wearable Art entries require three images. Digital images can only be submitted in JPG or PNG format.
14. By completing the submission process, the artist is indicating acceptance of the Terms & Conditions; the artist agrees to allow IQFAF and the Museum to use any image submitted with their entry or take images of their entry for purposes of publicity and/or advertising. Full credit will be given to the artist and photographer, where applicable.
15. Shipping: Artists are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the QFA Museum.
ACCEPTED ENTRIES:
1. If your entry is juried into the exhibition, you will be sent an acceptance email along with delivery instructions and Loan Agreement forms that need to be completed. If you do not receive notification, be sure to check your junk/spam folder before contacting the Museum.
2. Accepted entries must be on-site from August 12, 2026 through October 18, 2026.
3. All Awards of Excellence, People’s Choice, and Best of Show award-winning entries must also be available for an extended exhibition at the Museum and will be shipped for return by December 13.
4. Entries displayed in the Festival or post-Festival Museum show may not be taken down early for any reason.
5. Artists with accepted entries will be provided with one (1) Will-Call ticket to be picked up at the Festival, September 25-27.
